Dr Toni Pikoos

CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST; CO-FOUNDER, READYMIND 

Dr Toni Pikoos is a clinical psychologist and postdoctoral researcher from Melbourne, Australia. She is one of few psychologists who specialises in the treatment and research of Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) and other body image disorders. Her award-winning research centres around identifying the motivations, expectations, and outcomes of non-surgical cosmetic procedures for individuals with BDD, and has been published in Aesthetic Surgery Journal, Facial Plastic Surgery and Aesthetic Medicine, and the International Journal of Eating Disorders.

Dr Pikoos is also the Co-Founder of ReadyMind, an organisation which develops psychological screening and consultation tools for use in the cosmetic industry, as well as training for cosmetic practitioners in understanding the psychological needs of their patients.

Toni consults with patients remotely and at Foundation Psychology in Balwyn, Victoria where she provides treatment for individuals with BDD, as well as psychological evaluations for people considering surgical and non-surgical cosmetic procedures.
